Saving Lives, Together
We supply blood and blood components to patients in need throughout Northern and Central California. Donating blood is a great way to give back to your community and provide patients and their families hope for tomorrow. Based on patient needs, we will work together to determine the best donation opportunity for your organization. Whether it is hosting a blood donation event at one of our donation centers or a mobile blood drive at your location, there are many ways for your donors to give.
Together, we are the source of precious, lifesaving blood
Working together, we can:
- Save Lives!
- Provide lifesaving blood products to the hospitals we serve!
- Provide blood in disaster relief efforts, both locally and globally!
- Advance the science of blood technology!
- Educate donors on the importance of giving what’s needed!
- Share the gift of hope with friends, family, coworkers and community members!
Giving What’s Needed
Thanks to volunteer blood donors, we are able to provide patients with a safe and plentiful supply of blood and blood components: red blood cells, platelets, plasma, and other critical components. Donors help save the lives of accident and burn patients, premature infants, heart surgery patients, organ transplant recipients, individuals fighting cancer, forms of leukemia and many other disorders. Together, we help our neighbors locally, and proudly support the network of blood centers and hospitals throughout the U.S. and around the world to “give what is needed today.”
We offer two ways to donate blood — giving whole blood and giving platelets and plasma through automated donation, which utilizes special equipment to separate your blood into specific components. Most donors begin with giving whole blood and if they meet eligibility criteria, they may be able to choose automated donation. No matter the donation type, each time a donor sits in the donation chair, they save lives!
