Schools

A significant portion of blood needed by our communities is collected at school blood drives.

By donating blood and organizing blood drives at your high school or college, you are helping make sure blood is available when people need it.

We encourage students to become part of our family by volunteering their time or donating blood. To show our appreciation, we offer scholarships to local high school and college students who are involved in organizing blood drives at their schools.

By California law, parent consent forms are required for all 16-year-old students to donate blood. Your high school's administration decides whether or not parent consent forms are required for students older than 16. Please check with your school's administration regarding your school's policy.
