Regional organizations team up to help patients in need for the 17th consecutive year
SACRAMENTO, CA – BloodSource and Univision 19, the largest Spanish-speaking media organization in the region, continues its longstanding and lifesaving partnership with Día de donar sangre on Friday, June 16 at Cal Expo - Buildings C & D, from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Parking is free for Día de donar sangre participants through the Blue Gate, located off Challenge Way and Exposition Blvd.
Día de donar sangre participants will receive one (1) admission ticket to the California State Fair, an exclusive 2017
Día de donar sangre T-shirt and MyBloodSource Rewards, redeemable online for a variety of great items. Univision 19 will broadcast live from the event throughout the day, and participants can enjoy food generously donated by Chick-fil-A.
Since 2001, more than 16,000 participants have contributed to the ongoing success of Dia de donar sangre.

Hispanic donors have a higher incidence of Blood Type O, the most requested blood type product from hospitals supporting patients in need. At Día de donar sangre, donors can also join Be The Match®, the national marrow registry for those ages 18-44 years old, providing another opportunity to save lives.
