MyBloodSource is an exciting program that started on July 1, 2012. It’s a personalized and confidential online resource available for all Vitalant donors accessible through a password-protected page on my.bloodsource.org.
Once you have created an account, you will receive a confirmation email. Click on the confirmation link to add your unique donor ID to your account.

When you first access MyBloodSource you will see horizontal tabs labeled:
Home – After you log-in with your unique password, you will be able to navigate through the various pages of MyBloodSource.
Rewards - For each blood donation, donors accumulate Rewards that can be redeemed for various items, including Vitalant merchandise.
Appointments – Schedule your next blood donation right here!
Wellness – Donors will be able to review their "blood donor wellness" and pre-donation mini-physical results such as blood pressure, temperature and hemoglobin values. This information can be seen in table or graph form, and then printed. Information about iron rich foods, blood donor education, blood type and a BMI calculator (Body Mass Index) can all be found here.
Account Settings – Update your contact information, request a donor card, and select your preferred Vitalant Donor Center.

No. Your Chairperson Resources username is used to uniquely identify you and allow you to manage and track your blood drives online. You will be able to select your own unique login and password at set up. Your Chairperson Resources username and password is different from any other Vitalant logins.
You can change your password on the Account Settings tab. If you do not remember your password and would like to reset it, click here.
Go to the Account Settings tab on MyBloodSource to update your contact information.
Go to the Account Settings tab on MyBloodSource to request a replacement donor ID card. You should receive your donor card any time up to four weeks after your request.

Milestone points and Rewards will be tracked separately.
Milestone points track total lifetime blood donations, and the Milestone Recognition program, e.g., 10 gallons, will continue to be separate from Rewards. Donors can view Milestone Points on their Vitalant donor receipts.
All donors started accumulating Rewards July 1, 2012, and can find their Rewards totals at MyBloodSource that can be redeemed for items.
Rewards items available through MyBloodSource are varied and will change. You can look forward to coupons for such items as Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream, Fandango movie vouchers, and even an iPad.

No, Rewards are non-transferable and have no cash value.
Rewards will expire after 15 months of inactivity: inactivity is defined as "no attempt to donate" – if you are actively donating or attempting to donate, your Rewards will not expire. Vitalant will contact you in advance of your Rewards expiring.
Most rewards will be available to all donors but there may be some specific items, e.g., coupons that are for a store in a particular area, e.g., Chico, will be indicated on the Rewards description.
Not at this time.
It depends on the item. For most items, it will be standard shipping, 7-10 business days. For higher end items, such as electronics, it will be 4-5 weeks.
Your account will remain dormant. Participation in MyBloodSource is voluntary and you have the choice to participate.
You can always donate your Rewards back to Vitalant to help fund bloodmobiles or high school scholarships! Vitalant is proud to invest in the future of our communities.
Yes, the Online Appointment Center will be accessible through MyBloodSource. In fact, your login information will be the same.
Your Vitalant Donor ID number will never change and is used to uniquely identify you at our donation sites and now online. On our website your Donor ID is only needed for the initial account setup. You will be able to select your own unique login and password.

You cannot schedule a same-day appointment online although you can cancel a same day appointment online.
Appointments can be scheduled online up to three months in advance.
Unfortunately, no. Due to the nature of information related to blood donation and confidentiality regulations, we require that each BloodSource donor create their own unique Appointment Center login and password.
Transactions such as scheduling an appointment, changing your address or cancelling an appointment will generate an email confirmation to the email address you provided at registration.
Yes! Two days prior to your appointment you will receive an email with the date, time and location of your scheduled appointment.

First, check your spam or bulk mail folder. Should you find the confirmation email there, open the email and click the "not spam" button. Also, ensure email@example.com is not on your blocked senders list. Check the help section of your email service provider for more information. Blood donor wellness refers to acceptable blood donor value ranges for various health factors gathered on the day of your visit to Vitalant.
The donor wellness factors assessed in a mini-physical prior to blood donation include temperature, blood pressure, pulse, hemoglobin and, if necessary, a scale weight or total protein counts for our frequent plasma donors.
Each column in the table has an “information button” at the top of the column with information about a particular health factor and the acceptable blood donation range.
Just click on the “graph” button at the top of the column and then press the “print” icon.
You can choose how many donor appointments you want to view. You can view results from appointments since January 30, 2012.
Results will be posted on your MyBloodSource page within 48 hours of your appointment.
Any donors concerned about mini-physical results should contact their personal physicians.
